14 May 2015
PKF International Limited has strengthened its South African network with the admission of Rademeyer Wesson Chartered Accountants as a member firm in Cape Town.
Rademeyer Wesson, based in Tyger Valley, Cape Town, was founded in 1994 and today has six partners and a total staff complement of approximately 80. The firm provides a full range of assurance, tax and advisory services to clients ranging from family businesses to mid-sized commercial entities and small corporates. The PKF network's presence in South Africa now includes firms in Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Welkom and Knysna.
PKF International CEO, John Sim, said: "We are really pleased to welcome Rademeyer Wesson to the network as we continue to expand and strengthen the PKF brand. Rademeyer Wesson fits well with our value proposition of Quality with Integrity, and this addition re-establishes our national footprint in all South Africa's key commercial centres".
Says Derick Wesson, chairman and managing partner of the firm: "We sought both a strong brand and the best match to our own culture, centred around people, values and independence. PKF is a respected and widely recognised brand in global accountancy. In today's business environment and in the light of changes to auditing, it has become essential to offer clients a national and global footprint. PKF is a great fit for us."
PKF South Africa CEO, Kevin Gertenbach, concludes: "We have worked very hard to find the right firm to join us in Cape Town, and Rademeyer Wesson ticks all the boxes. It is high quality firm with young, energetic and entrepreneurial leadership and values very similar to our own, combined with an excellent reputation in the market".
The firm will be known as PKF Rademeyer Wesson with effect from 1 July 2015, and will start participating in PKF initiatives immediately.
